Since returning to Cyprus he has been involved in property development and in 1998 he established the Pharos Arts Foundation. His talk entitled 'The Role Of The Arts, Culture And Education In Society' will focus on the need for transcendence in our lives. The highest expressions of the human spirit come to us through the arts and he will argue that unless we invest time, energy and resources to them, we imperil ourselves and our future. Directions: From the Debenhams roundabout, take the main road towards Geroskipou. At the first traffic lights, turn right. Then take the third left (where there is a traffic divider with shrubs). Pass the very large church on the right and take the first right turn immediately after it. Continue on this road all the way to the T-junction at the end. Turn right, then immediately left: the centre and parking area will be in front of you. Disabled access: there are a few steps down from the foyer into the hall, but it is possible instead to go round the path outside and enter from the garden.
